old man river tops it all

So Rudy's breakout role would best be characterized as Old Man River. Thanks to Rudy for inviting us this time. It really was his best performance as I laughed to the idea of grilling a frozen pizza. There is another show this friday so anyone who missed it should go. In any case it made the 10 second clip award for this week.



Tonight I watched the interview with prince harry and william and it was a foreshadow of the future of Britain. They are both in the military and each want to save the world. William wants to ride helicopters for the UN and Harry wants to be a safari guide as well help with relief work in Africa. As I was watching this show there was a news update about candy that has meth in it that was used to dupe little kids into becoming addicted to drugs. I remembered when I was a kid and my parents told me to inspect my candy to make sure nothing was tampered with. This terrifying concept must have been when society was truly lost. When one house can't give children candy without it having razer blades or drugs lining it. Thats a pretty scary thing to have to worry about.

Darling is playing a week from today at the note. I've never been to the note but its at milwaukee and damen so should be close to most. Here's the new flyer

Alice pulled the chord out

I'll start this off with a funny story. So I haven't been posting as of recently cause I haven't been able to connect to the web. The reason being I found out today was cause Alice pulled the chord out of the wall. Curious little cat, I think I'll change her name to whiskers.

I stopped in Champaign a couple of weeks ago with boom, jen, and jason cause Jen wanted some zorbas. It turned out zorbas was closed on memorial day so we ordered pokies. We ate in that park next to jarlings custard cup and the pokies were surpisingly delicious in the non-enebriated state I happened to be in. I thought a nice healthy capper to that oil heavy lunch would be some custard so I got a few cones from jarlings. The next thing I know I look up and see this

I'm not sure if this is a clever ruise by the neighborhood kids or some sorta entrepeneur cutting edge marketing scheme but either way it was pure hilarity.

Recently I've been playing with the video feature on my phone and taped the kinzie house in hyde park when they played in a giant speaker as part of an art exhibit.

I begin to phase out pictures on this site and move completely into the realm of 10 second clips.

Outside of going to seaboat 2 and following the kinzie house dead style, I've been getting ready to propose my thesis for sometime near the end of the summer. Recently a fellow student in my lab proposed her thesis and was told that she was going to leave with a masters. Nothing like a little fire under your ass to get you thinking about a new innovation in science. I've seen a few good movies recently including: Brick(in the vein of donnie darko meets twin peaks), The Queen(that old bitch can be really cold some times), Children of Men(I'll procreate if I have to), Blood Diamond(surpisingly good and Jennifer Connely is hot), and finally Hot Fuzz(just as much killing as in shawn of the dead even if there aren't any zombies). As far as music goes, I'm all out, let me know if you've heard anything good lately.
