Come to the Subterranean tonight(2011 W. North Ave) as Norfolk and Western are playing tonight, Wednesday Nov 15th. As a minor sidenote Darling will be opening right at 9pm(4 bands so we got go on right away). The doors open at 8:30pm if you want to hangout before the show as well. And you thought this was going to be an orginal post, a break from the norm, whats going on in my life sort of thing. Well it sort of is. The cover is only 7 bones and N+W won't dissapoint I promise. Back to the Blog(or other title with a return to the blogosphere mention)

Its funny what brings you back to the blog. Its sort of a combination between free time and things that stop you dead in your track. One such thing happened the other day when I get this spam mail that had a header that said, "effective treatment for ADHD patients with coexisting anxiety." To think about 1 pill that could help alleviate the two worst disorders this nation faces is mindboggling and terrifying(right about now your gonna wish you took the blue pill, 2 matrix quotes in a month, yep, thats dorky all right). Another thing I found hilarious was when I was flipping through channels and came to 34 which usually houses JBTV and sometimes ethnic shows. This time for some reason was polish news and music from like 9:45-10. The one commercial for this show was of a girl in a polish store with a polski shirt on and 5 calling cards in each hand. The productino values were pretty low and the camera just zoomed in and out from the girls face to the calling cards. The show ended with a 5 min rock ballad with scenes of a middle-aged man walking around the town(over the golden gate bridge, through the town, around his yard) all the while having memorys of his family shown briefly periodically.

I've been listening to a couple of great bands lately. The first is Ben and Bruno who opened for Page France. They have a unique ghostly melodic sound to them with tints of blond redhead. They know the guys from the microphones which puts them high in the cool book and they all sing while on stage which is also fun.

The next is Peter, Bjorn, and John who are yet another great band from sweden. The other being Dungen who I obsessed over for a good 4 months seeing them at the bottle and logie squared. In any case they have a clap your hands sound with a bit more dance beats and whisteling. Its in my head right now and their myspace page has a video so enjoy
